New Years Resolutions Never Work Do They?

So. I'm feeling incredibly unmotivated to keep doing this blog. I've enjoyed it on some days. And hated it on others. So here's to another failed new years resolution.
What I'm gonna do is still upload on random days, when something worthwhile has happened, and I actually have something interesting to write about and something that I'll enjoy reading back on in a year.

17th January 2014

Tonight I'm remembering the loveliest night of perhaps the duration of my whole high school: our leavers ball.
Our Yr11 prom had been a little bit disappointing if I'm honest (me being ill didn't help) but yr13 was just a little bit fab :')
The organisers thought they were being really funny by seating me next to our head teacher,  but he was full of banter all night (new best friend)
I only have lovely memories from that evening and I miss every single person I spent time with :) <3

Another day, another birthday.
Today it's my brothers birthday. and I was a little worried about how I could do a blog about it as I waa pretty sure there'd be no way he'd let me upload a photo.  But dear friends. I was wrong. This photo is probably about 8 years old now. But I think its pretty cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVELY FLATMATE BETHAN.
Today is a Bethan appreciation post. Because it's her birthday. So I have to be nice to her.
Not quite sure how she puts up with both living with me and going to lectures with me. I'm proud of her for coping and not having a mental breakdown. Yet.
Have so much love for this girl.
Seems crazy to think I've only known her since September!!

Today I am feeling as though I am struggling to write anything because of the feels that Sherlock has left me with. Because of this I am leaving you with this picture, and I am off to curl up in my bed, confused and befuddled.
Also total lols to telling my two friends who hadn't seen it that Mary had her baby. #Spoilers. Or not.

Today I am full of happiness due to Primark. Got some right bargains in there today including this pretty little thing (shame about me being in the photo lols) - only a fiver, reduced from £12!
Also, completely incidentally, I turned up to do some shopping in Primark in an entirely Primarkian outfit. What an exciting story.

Today was going to be a home comforts appreciation post, and I was going to post a lovely picture of my last home cooked meal before going back to uni.
But no. This time I didn't eat it all before I'd remembered to take a picture (although my parents are pretty damn good at cooking).
They treated me instead to a lovely Chinese takeaway.  So here's a picture of that vegetable chow mein. Struggled to move for a while afterwards...

It's another friend appreciation post! There might be quite a few of these over the next year. But that's because I have such awesome friends aaaw :')
When I'm at uni, I sometimes forget how awesome they are (especially these two in this photo) but once we're reunited, it's like we've never been apart.
A lovely trip to the zoo because we're all so adult-like was the nicest way to end my Christmas holiday....

Today is an odd one. (aren't they all!?)
But I discovered how fab reading on a train is. Normally I waste them and just listen to music, but as I was leaving the house, a book just shouted my name...
Of course it was Miranda's book.

So today has been a very nothingy day. I've done some uni work and stayed inside all day because it hasn't really stopped raining all day. No points for you Cumbria.
But something that always cheers me up on days like today is snuggles with my little guinea-pig. He's the cutest little guy and even though he's ridiculously old now (probs like 7) he's such a chirpy little pig.
Ever have a rainy day? Snuggles are always the way forward...

Today is a post about food.
It's one of my favourite things in life so when you combine it with old school friends you get the perfect combination.
I tried to take a picture of my main, but I'd eaten it before I remembered I wanted to take a picture.
Then I did the same for my pudding.

I seriously live in a pretty fab part of the world.  Despite a little bit of a rough night yesterday my darling mother took me and my number one girl (my dog) up the hill. Since moving to Manchester where the only large things I see are skyscrapers, I've realised how much I miss the hills. From the top of the knott, I can look across (on a good day!) and see Yorkshire hills, the Howgills, the lake district hills and the beautiful estuary in front of me.
This place I can call home is bloody marvellous
